Chenab & Sutlej houses enthrall audiences at cultural function ‘Unmesh’ at DPS Chas.

Chas.(Bokaro) :: The one day biennial house cultural function ‘Unmesh’ was organised today at DPS Chas school campus in which dozens of students of Chenab and Sutlej houses enthralled hundreds of students and their guardians.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief guest Bokaro DC Mukesh Kumar who while addressing to the students stated that school education plays an important role in development and shaping up of total personality.

The DC advocated that as per him the three words for success in life is C –Courage , Conviction and Commitment and if any person follows this with dedication and sincerity success with definitely come his or her way.

Citing example of Tomas Edison, the deputy commissioner elaborated that as failures are success of life it will not be correct to state that success is set of failures and before invention of Bulb the great scientist failed more than 900 times .

“My sincere advise to parents and teachers will be to make sure students are given value education which is mandatory for individual and society” stated Mukesh harping big praise on all performers and tiny tots.

The inauguration was formalised with the lighting of the auspicious lamp followed by welcome song and school song.

The glittering cultural extravaganza started with an eye catching dance recital ‘Achyutam Keshvam’,a Sambalpuri dance followed by Bhangra which was presented by Sutlej house after which an orchestra presentation by the school band on patriotism.

This was followed by the exquisite dance Bhangra which enthralled the audience towards the end.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Hemlata S Mohan, chief mentor of the school stated that in a very short span of less than 3 years has made its name in most promising educational destination which believes and tries its best to cultivate students in acquiring quality knowledge, learn better skills and develop attitudes with strong ethical values of integrity, politeness, kindness and responsibility for purposeful living.

The school principal Neelkamal Sinha while welcoming the guests stated that the school was trying its best to give its best and in very short time has made its name in educational arena not only in coalbelt zone but even in the state.

The glitz and glory of the grand event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the warden of Chenab house Birendra Kr.

Besides others headmistress of the school Dr. Hemlata S Mohan (Chief Mentor DPS, Chas), Mr. N. Muralidharan (PVC DPS, Chas), Mr. Suresh Agarwal (Secretary DS Memorial Society), Rashmi Sinha, Dr Padmalya, Soni Kumar, Mr. Birendra Kr., teachers, students, guardians and other staff members were present to make it a grand success.
